The Newsroom Dear readers, I'm so excited to present to you the first trailer for The Newsroom, the new Aaron Sorkin show set to premiere on HBO on June 24. (The season will last ten episodes.) Shakespeare in the Park: Casting News The lovely Amy Adams and the reliably good Oliver Platt will both play in the Delacorte Theatre this summer as part of the Public's Shakespeare in the Park. Adams will appear as The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, running July 23-August 25, and Platt will play Touchstone in As You Like It, running June 5-30. Remember that tickets for Shakespeare in the Park are free, and there are multiple ways to obtain them. Visit Shakespeareinthepark.org for detailed information. I love Shakespeare in the Park - it's a New York City summer institution - and with this casting (as well as the previously announced casting, which includes Jessie Mueller and Lily Rabe), I will definitely keep you posted!

Audience Etiquette I saw Ghost this week. I liked the show (look for my review after opening night, April 23) but I was furious at some of my fellow audience members. So, in response, I'm starting an Audience Etiquette Treatise. It's my evolving list of audience members dos and don'ts for the duration of the show experience. There's the obvious - turn off your cell phone! - and some other, more personal peeves, like people cutting in the stage door queue. What do you think? What would you add?
