Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees Annoucned
Nominees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class have been announced. Among the nominees are Janet Jackson, the Smiths, N.W.A., Chaka Khan, Nine Inch Nails and more. Winners/inductees will be announced in December; they'll then be honored in a rocking ceremony in the spring, which will be edited and broadcast on HBO later in the year. Rolling Stone has the full list of nominated artists. While you're there, you can vote for the artist you'd most like to see inducted into the Rock Hall.

Hamilton News
Go behind the scenes at Hamilton on a two-show day, courtesy of featured player, Anthony Ramos, who plays John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton. Playbill has the photo essay. In other Hamilton news, Andrew Rannells will take on the role of King George III from October 27 through November 29 while current king, Jonathan Groff, films the concluding Looking special.   • Bob Saget will take over for Marc Kudish in Hand to God for final two months. Playbill has more.
  • Additional Game of Thrones casting has the media abuzz with speculation regarding what this means for various story lines. Hit Fix has a report.
  • Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening, Pitch Perfect) will star as Tony in a concert presentation of West Side Story in March. Playbill has more.
Dig This
  • No surprise to anyone who tried to get tickets this week: Lazarus, the new musical featuring a score by David Bowie, has extended its NYTW debut by three weeks. (Previews have yet to start.) The show, which stars Michael C. Hall, Michael Esper (The Last Ship) and Cristin Milioti (Once), will now play through January 17, 2016. Broadway.com has more.
  • Celebrate Frank Sinatra with the NY Philharmonic, Sutton Foster, Seth MacFarlane, Bernadette Peters, Sting and more at a December 3 gala. Playbill has details.
  • Broadway Black reports that Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) is developing a film about famed actor Paul Robeson.
